On Monday, snowfall has been expected in areas with height more than 4000 meters. On 7 October, there will be a yellow alert of rain and snowfall in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Champawat and Nainital districts. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of hailstorm and lightning in districts like Tehri and Pauri.

According to the information, this year, Uttarakhand has recorded 1400 mm rainfall from June 1 to October 4, which is 22% more than normal. The pre-monsoon recorded 158.2 mm rainfall and 1162.7 mm in the monsoon season. Districts like Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Tehri and Chamoli have caused heavy destruction, causing loss of both people and money.
