The Election Commission has changed the way to delete votes online on its website and app amid allegations of vote theft on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s Election Commission (EC). Now the person doing this will have to e-sign, for which a mobile number related to Aadhaar will be needed.
While sharing the reports of the English newspaper Indian Express on X, Rahul wrote- Dnyanesh ji, we caught theft when you remembered to lock. Now we will also catch the thieves. So tell me, when are you giving evidence to CID?
EC has taken this decision amid allegations of Rahul Gandhi’s attempt to remove more than 6000 votes in Aland, Karnataka.
Rahul also made allegations of vote theft several times before
In fact, Rahul Gandhi has alleged many times that elections were won by large-scale disturbances in the voter list, illegal additions of votes and misuse of institutions. He had said that the Congress has also put examples of this in areas like Mahadevpura and Aland and more evidence will be shown to the public in the coming time.

September 18: Rahul accused ECI chief of protecting votes thieves
Rahul also called a person on stage during a press conference on ‘Vote Theft’ in Delhi on 18 September, claiming that his name had been removed.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had said on 18 September- ‘Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is saving those who destroy democracy and vote thieves.’ Giving the example of Karnataka’s Aland assembly seat, Rahul claimed that the votes of Congress supporters were planned in a planned manner there.
Rahul claimed that mobile number was being operated in other states to remove the voters whose names were deleted in Aland. Rahul also told his numbers in the presentation. There are also 12 neighbors of Godwai, which were deleted from these mobile numbers.

August 7- Rahul accused of adding illegal names to the voter list
On August 7, Rahul Gandhi gave a 22 -page presentation for 1 hour and 11 minutes on a disturbance in the voter list. Rahul showed the voter list of Karnataka on the screen and said that suspected voters are present in the voter list.
He had said that after seeing the results of Maharashtra, our suspicion was strong that the election had been stolen. Not giving the machine reedable voter list, we were confident that EC had stolen the Maharashtra election with the BJP. We introduced a model of vote theft here. The Election Commission (EC) held a press conference on August 17 at the National Media Center in New Delhi. Without naming Rahul Gandhi, Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar said- The data shown in the PPT presentation is not ours. Pay an affidavit on allegations of vote theft or apologize to the country. If the affidavit is not received in 7 days, the allegations will be considered baseless. Read full news …
September 18- No voter’s name is deleted online
Following Rahul Gandhi’s allegations, the Election Commission issued a statement saying that the name of any voter can not be removed online and no voter has been incorrectly cut in Aland assembly constituency.
