The Yamuna river is in spate due to heavy rains on the mountains. At 11 am on Monday morning, the water level of the river was recorded at 3,21,653 cusecs at Hathinikund barrage, which is the highest of this season. However, the water level incident started in the afternoon and 2,96,810 cusecs of water was recorded at 3 pm.

Due to the water level being close to 3 lakh cusecs, the risk of floods in 5 districts increased, including Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat and Faridabad. After this, water enters Delhi.
Hathinikund barrage is in Yamunanagar district. According to sources in the irrigation department here, the water level of the river on Sunday was 1.5 lakh cusecs. It suddenly changed rapidly at 4 am on Monday morning and it remained more than 3 lakh cusecs from 6 am to 2 pm. After 2 pm, it recorded some decline.

Water will reach Delhi in 50 hours instead of 72 In normal condition, Yamuna water reaches Delhi from Hathinikund barrage in 72 hours. This time the water level is more continuously for 5 hours. Due to the high amount of water and speed, this time it is expected to reach Delhi Rajghat in 50 hours. Yamuna water kills in many colonies in the outer area of Delhi.
Alert status in 5 districts The administration has declared an alert in the five districts of Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat and Faridabad on the banks of the banks of Yamuna river in Haryana. These districts have to face floods after the boom in Yamuna. Especially crops are damaged and contact with many villages is also cut. The biggest danger is the land erosion.
Yamuna descends from Kalesar The Yamuna River descends from the mountains of Himachal and lands in the field near Karsar in Yamunanagar district. There is Haryana on one side of the river and Uttar Pradesh on the other side. The Uttar Pradesh government has strengthened the embankment on its behalf, due to which the water of Yamuna does more damage towards Haryana. After Yamunanagar, Yamuna goes to Faridabad via Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat districts.

Land erosion is happening in Mandewala, Nawazpur. These are mining areas. The water has started leaking from the sand-stone bond made in Belgarh. Land erosion is also happening in Kalesar.
Apart from this, there are many villages including Chhota Lapumra, Topumajari, Ghodas Pipli, Lal Chappar, Jathalana, Gumthala, Sandhala-Saandhali, Prabari, Bagwali, Unidi, in which the water of Yamuna river is influenced. Currently, the situation in these villages is normal, but in view of the rage form of Yamuna, the concern of the villagers has increased.
The people of Kamalpur island are forced to flee. The tracks of thick stones built at a cost of Rs 7 crore have been broken here 2 years ago. Land erosion continues due to the strong flow of water.

Karnal: Alert in Yamuna adjoining areas in Indri, water filled in Gharaunda’s fields The Yamuna river in Karnal is flowing above the danger mark. In Garhi Bharal area of Gharaunda, water has accumulated up to 4 feet in the fields adjacent to Yamuna. Water has also started entering the fields of Kalsaura. Similarly, an alert has also been issued in Indri. It is feared that the water may enter some villages by noon. Earlier there was 2 lakh 72 thousand cusecs of water in Yamuna. The water released in the morning will reach these areas of Karnal by noon. Crops are affected due to Yamuna in Indri’s Chandrao, Nabiabad, Jampi Chapra, Nagli, Kamalpur, Dabkauli Kalan and Dabkauli Khurd. Currently, the water is flowing slightly below the embankment, but as soon as the water level increases, the water will become one here.

Due to the rise in the water level of Yamuna, the fields have been flooded in the Garhi Bharal area of Gharaunda.
Panipat: 7 villages are in danger of losing contact with Haryana In Panipat, Yamuna is flowing above the danger mark. Here 7 villages situated on the banks of Yamuna are very affected. Garhi Sanoli, Garhi Basic, Nawada R, Nawada Paar, Patthargarh, Tamsabad and Rana Majra are the villages which are lost in contact with Haryana. Then people leave from UP. It is expected to reach the water coming from Hathinikund by Monday afternoon. Yamuna’s danger meter is 231.50. Right now the water is flowing exactly on this mark.
Sonipat: Axis increased in 30 villages, land erosion would be absorbed into the river IsAbout 30 villages from Gannaur to Delhi border in Sonipat district are affected by floods every year. The villages include many including Bakhtawarpur, Garhi, Mehndipur, and Jainpur. After the crops were ruined, now the flow of fertile soil is a major disadvantage for them. Although the administration says that the situation is still under control, the water level is likely to rise in the next 24 to 48 hours. The administration has already alerted the people of the villages by getting Munadi done.

Faridabad: More than 100 families have already left home 56455 thousand cusecs of water has been released from Okhla barrage in Delhi to Yamuna river. Apart from this, water has also been released from Hathinikund barrage. After 48 hours, the effect of this water will be seen in Faridabad. In many villages of Faridabad, the water level of water entered the fields decreased, but in the village Basantpur, water is still flowing outside the houses. More than 100 landlords are leaving their homes and living outside relatives or on rent.
On Sunday, 55 thousand cusecs of water was released into the river. On Sunday, the river water entered the fields of village Rajpura and Chandpur, due to which water had entered the crop in about 40 acres in village Rajpura and about 200 acres in village Chandpur.
SDM Mayank Bhardwaj of Ballabhgarh visited Mohana village on Monday and inspected the water level of Yamuna. Alert has been issued in all the villages adjacent to Yamuna. The district administration has released helpline number 0129-2227937, 2226262.
