On Tuesday, Census Director Bishnu Charan Mallik spoke to the media at the Regional Directorate of Census in Jaipur. He told- Self-senses are being used for the first time. There will be a digital census across the country including Rajasthan. The process of census will run from 1 January 2026 to 31 March 2027. This time caste census is also going to take place. There will be a census in two phases.
In the first phase, listing census of houses will be done from April 2026 to September 2026. People will be counted from 9 to 20 February 2027. The homeless will be counted on 28 February 2027. This time there will be changes in the questions asked by people in both the phase. Many new questions will be added and some questions will be removed.
More than 2 lakh employees and officers will be employed in census About 2 lakh employees and officers will be engaged in the census work. Around 1.50 lakh enrichrs will be used for the census from house to house. There will be about 30 to 40 thousand supervisors and other officers. Most teachers and employees of local bodies will be engaged in census work. There will be no transfer of employees engaged in census work.
From 1 January 2026 to 31 March 2027, there will be no transfer of employees engaged in census work. The state government will issue separate notification to ban the transfers of these employees.
Census Director said- The transfer of employees associated with the census is not generally done, for this, the state government is also urged.
Administrative boundaries will freeze from January 1 Administrative boundaries will be freeze from 1 January 2026 to 31 March 2027 due to the census. During this period, no change will be made in the boundaries of administrative units. The government will not be able to make any changes in the boundaries of the ward to the village-city, tehsil, subdivision and districts. Even new administrative units will not be able to be formed.
Those who have been living for six months will be counted Outsiders will also be counted during the census. If a person is living in one area for more than six months, then he will be counted in that area. People from other states, where they are living, will also be counted there.
Digital census will have real time monitoring This time the census work will be done in digital mode. Mobile app and web portal have developed for the census. Employees doing census will have to fill the details of every household and people in the app itself.

Due to digital census, the Acuracy level will increase and the scope of mistakes will be reduced.
