Music composer Shekhar Goswami and singer Amritprabha Mahant have worked with Zubeen Garg.
Singapore Police has submitted a postmortem report to the Indian High Commission in the case of Zubeen Garg Death. Zubeen died during scuba diving in Singapore on 19 September.
Here, Assam Police arrested composer Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and singer Amritprabha Mahant on Thursday in the case related to the death of singer Zubeen Garg. Goswami and Amritprabha were part of Zubeen’s music team.
Both were in Singapore at the time of the incident and were present on the spot. Goswami and Amritprabha were called for questioning and later arrested. So far 4 people have been arrested in the case.
According to PTI sources, the police officer said that we have found some evidence against him. Therefore, his arrest was necessary for further investigation.
According to media reports, Goswami and Mahant were with Zubeen at the Yacht Party in Singapore on 19 September. According to SIT sources, in the video, Goswami appeared very close to Garg, while Amritprabha recorded the entire incident on his mobile.

Two people including Zubeen’s manager already arrested
Earlier, Assam Police also arrested Siddharth Sharma, manager of Zubeen Garg and Shyamakunu Mahant, organizer of North East India Festival in Singapore. Both were brought from Delhi to Guwahati on 1 October.
Special DGP Munna Prasad Gupta of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Assam Police said that the court has sent both of them to 14 days police custody. Investigation is going on. We have now added section 103 of BNS to FIR. Section 103 of BNS decides punishment for murder. It provides for a penalty or life imprisonment to the murder person.
According to the police, a case was registered against Sharma and Mahant under different sections of BNS, including death, criminal conspiracy and negligence death due to attempt to murder.
SIT has registered more than 60 FIRs so far
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) said that in the case of Zubeen’s death, more than 60 FIRs have been registered against 10 people in the state so far.
Special DGP Gupta said that the postmortem report done in Singapore will be given to the family as per the protocol. Singapore’s investigation team also worked. He has also contacted the family.
At the same time, the report of the second postmortem made in Guwahati is awaited. The viscera sample has been sent to the Central Forensic Lab in Delhi for detail investigation. Gupta said that after receiving the viscera report, the postmortem report will be ready and will be available to us.
Viscera sample samples are taken from internal organs of the body like intestine, liver, kidney during postmortem to find out the real cause of death.
Singer Zubeen Garg died on 19 September under mysterious circumstances. He went to Singapore to perform at the North East India Festival.
SIT will go to Singapore for investigation
The Assam Police has created a nine -member SIT to investigate the case. DGP Gupta said that the team will go to Singapore and collect evidence when permission will be done from there. Our team is ready to go to Singapore. Some formalities have to be completed. We have sent a request through the correct channel. The team will go as soon as the information is received.
The Government of India has used Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) with Singapore to support Singer’s death in Singapore. Gupta said that the singer’s cousin and deputy SP Sandipan Garg were also questioned at the time of the incident.
The family of Zubeen Garg lodged a complaint against the singer’s manager Siddharth Sharma and the organizer of the North-East India Festival in Singapore, Shyamkanu Mahant. Zubeen’s uncle Manoj Borathhakur had said, ‘We lodged a complaint in the CID office on behalf of the family. In this complaint, especially Siddharth Sharma and Shyamakanu Mahant were accused of accused and requested to investigate with CID.

Zubeen Garg died in Singapore, wife’s charge- there was a tour

Then all the friends immediately took the hospital to the hospital when their health deteriorated, which saved her life. He was kept in ICU of Singapore General Hospital for 2 hours.

Zubeen was the highest paid singer of Assam.
